1. Dogs are allowed at the games, but the owners are responsible for their behaviour and for picking up after them. If the dog is overly disruptive or is not picked up after, the owner will be asked not to bring them again.
2. No smoking at the games.
3. CCU will be providing a water and Gatorade (or Gatorade-like) stand at each game, however, we strongly encourage you to bring your own drinks as well in case supply runs low. You will need your own container.
4. Field rules are played under the UPA 11th edition guidelines found in the rules section of this site
5. Official format of the league will be 5/2 (Five Men, Two Women). Team captains may agree BEFORE the game to play any other format that both teams agree to at that time. Once the game is started, please stick to your agreements unless there is an injury removing a player from the game.
6. In addition to your free season disc, you may purchase additional discs for $9. Season discs will be handed out at the tournament.
7. Be sure to plan for the tournament. We have 8 weeks of regular season play, followed by a tournament on week 9.
8. We will issue 5 Minute warnings before end of the game, as well as a Last Point call.
9. Tie games - In the event of a tie that occurs after "Last Point" has been called, you shall have 3 minutes to resolve the score or the game will be declared a tie
10. Team Ranking - Teams will be ranked by the number of games won - if there is a tie, it will be broken by the total number of points.
11. Spirit - The Spirit of Ultimate is very much alive. We expect players to be courteous and fair on the field. A certain amount of competitiveness and heckling is to be expected, but overly aggressive or angry players will be issued a warning. If that player fails to comply with the spirit of the game a second time, they will be asked not to return.
12. Fields - The fields are subject to the City of Arvada's discrection. Essentially, if the fields have snow or standing water we will not be able to play. That said, Oak Park is a pretty big place so we'll do our best to make it work no matter what.
13. What to bring: Yourself, a light and a dark shirt, warm clothing for chillier days, water bottle, and a disc if you have one.
14. Currently, cancelled games will not be rescheduled. If we have to cancel more that one evening this season we will try to add another week on to the end of the schedule.
15. Weather Update - Weather is a factor in Ultimate. We play in most weather conditions allowed by the City, so check the main page of the website for up to date information. In the event of a cancellation we will email every player, and ask that the captains call their team and let them know as well.
16. Captains duties - the captain is responsible for reporting the score, the "disc flip" at the beginning of the game, and informing his/her team of upcoming games and any changes.
17. We will be playing double headers this season, and we have a sponsor bar within walking distance for those who are interested, so plan on having a fun filled evening!
18. Please bring any suggestions or recommendations to our attention. This league is built for you, so help us do what works best!
19. Spectators are very much encouraged and welcome!
Sincerely,
Jon Patterson
